Mt. Tam Coastal Gravel
As much as we’re inspired by seeing people take on massive rides (and we’re prepping for some biggies ourselves), for a lot of people, that kind of riding is simply inaccessible. That’s one of the reasons we love routes with a high smiles-to-miles ratio, rides that give a big payout on joy per joule. This Mt. Tam Coastal Gravel route is exactly that.
Is it the BEST gravel route on Mt. Tam? Honestly, I couldn’t say so. What’s best for each person is a little different and changes over time. There’s so much gravel goodness to choose from, it’s a privilege simply to be able to have those choices.
But is this route a banger? Oh my gosh, absolutely. Big yes.
One quick warning: bring a toothpick. You may need to pick bugs out of your teeth with all the smiling you’ll do.
